Water test today, And what a cool boat, with Rodney and myself and 60L fuel it does 94km up and 98.7 down, Not bad considering the boat size and the heavy motor. I believe the old boat with that motor and 773 did 85km

It was a 132 Hamilton and they guess the motor at around 320hp. I ran it again with the engine cover on and a larger nozzle insert and got 101km 8O

Yeah that would be impressive  The gps holds the max speed so I can look at it when back on the trailer

    100 ks from 300ish hp.
Now thats a nice little boat, and a nice simple set up.
How much lower in the water does she it with the iron engine? Is an ls1 much lighter?

Its not too bad with the iron engine as the boats are quite wide, But it sits up like a race boat at full flight and draws bugger all water
The LS1s are allot lighter but the extra weight in the back makes it an awesome big white water boat

    Hi Mike.
    Well done on this build.
Like the smaller hulls. Looks terrific.
Looks like a cost effective option doing a transplant from a donor boat.
Cant wait to see all interior and trimming complete.
    Cheers

It was the hurunui river cause they took me for a spin ( pig islanders arent to bright), should have seen the smiles on their faces - kids in a lolly shop ! Nice boat mike , real nice. goes like a cut cat and looks mighty fine, well done.

Hi Butch, yes there is allot of work goes into them, The best Idea for a cover is to get 3 or 4 prices and they will differ a huge amount.
