Here is the new 5.0L Ford Coyote motor that we are fitting into one of our RiverPro 460 boats with the Southern jet 8.5" two stage.
We had to chop a little off the deep sump to get it low enough and replace the ring gear with a smaller jap one so that we can use the common subaru starter, pics show the start of fabrication to fit the starter. they are similar power to the 6L LS but make more torque

We ran the engine up to temp today on the factory computer in our RiverPro 460, It has a good base map so started and idled like a swiss watch, so all ready to go on the jet boat dyno next week for a tune, I am looking forward to the water testing :exciting:

The engine is sooooo smooth. It is using the factory fly by wire throttle body and we have mounted the pedal under the dash and have fitted a normal pedal and cable to the electronic pedal

here is a small vid of it idling, if it wasnt for the exhaust noise you wouldnt know it was running :exciting:

Yes its a nice engine, we have had it on the jet boat dyno and it is making good hp and torque but had issues with the MAF sensor and its position so didnt get much tuning done but we will be back on the dyno asap, we did get over 400hp and 400ftlb torque without trying, so for a 5L its very promising
