Well I have ordered a 460 hull off Mike and he should be getting the metal back from the benders this week. I doing a donor project. Started with a HJ53 fitted with a 4.3 Chev and a 3 stage. I have stripped the boat down to the hull and it is now on TM for anyone that is interested. Some photos below for those that are interested. Looking fwd to transitioning from a RIVER BARGE to a great handling hull.

Did some more on the trailer today. Put the stem post on, cut and shaped the ends of the bunks, cut the rear uprights ready for fitment.

    Hi There,
Trailer looking good. What degrees do you cut the centre rails to suit the vee in your hull. I assume your hull is 16 degrees. Cheers Howie

Yes the hull is 16 deg, I cut the centrepiece at 90 deg and put 16deg on both the side pieces. If I did it again I would bisect the angles so that the matching faces are the same size, as the way I did it meant that there was overlap.

Spent a few hours today on the trailer. Finished off the bunks and fitted the. Cut out all the doubler plates and welded them on as well. Worked out the axle length and cut that ready for welding tomorrow hopefully. Then all that is left to do is mount the springs onto the angle then fit to the trailer. Once I have pushed it out of the workshop I will weld on the uprights, fit the lights and the bunk uhmwpe or whatever it is. Hopefully all complete by next weekend.

    Looks good Reuben.
Nice finsh, like the detial with the linishing.
Folding the sides and deck in one gives a great result.
Not a lot of fairing to achive a paint finish.

Well picked it up today and it looks great!!!!! I even got the trailer right and the boat sits on it well. Now the hard work starts. Will try and keep the photos up during the build.
Blondone, have you started on the new small boat yet as I understand one has sold now.

    No....plan has changed.
The jet ski units just seem a little light when it comes to pumping gravel, as you do!
Out of the blue got offered a scott puddle hopper 3.75 with 812 unit and lexus on an ali trailor.
Less money than the jet ski project so brought that.
Very happy, althought do miss the River Pro and the extra performance.
I can always part the hull out and put the gear from it in another River Pro 440.

Well the work has started. Have put the jet unit together temporarily to get the alignment for the various holes that I have to put in the transom. I have put a couple in so far, the heat exchanger feed and the steering rod hole. Also have got the floor cut out and temporarily screwed down. That marine ply is terrible to work with, splinters everywhere. Started playing with the seating position tonight and cut out the framing for the engine box which I hope to weld up tomorrow. Photos this weekend.

Well its been a busy week. I have managed to get the steering boss finished and fitted, the front bulkhead cut out and fitted, the front seat base folded, welded and fitted. I have started the fuel tank which will be the rear seat base as well.

Bit more time on the boat today. Finished mounting the heat exchanger. Positioned, drilled and temporarily fitted the gauges as well as the chartplotter which will be used mainly for fuel flow and speed. Cut the hole for the throttle pedal in the floor before I removed all the floorboards for sealing. Found the other two keys for the unit so I also pulled the unit apart to fit those.
Is the teleflex style fwd/rev lever the only one available or do they do a morse one as well?
