Hi, we have a 530hp l98 in our boat with a southern jet 8.5, and its awesome with a cruse rpm of between 3200 and 3500rpm giving awesome punch from 3500 to 5700rpm, we see a clean slow plane at 2600rpm in our boats. The great thing about the southern jet is that it comes std with cast stainless impellers and a bis alloy grill , give me a call with the hp and torque of your engine an I could give you more info
