who cares, that website has gone down hill big time in the last 18 months, way too commercial, and as for the over zealous moderators............well.nuff said.
Unfortunatly in my view its an evolution of it's own popularity. It became so popular that the wesite developed a large user/viewer base and that eventually equates to having a $$ value. With such a larger people base comes a multitude of opinions and beliefs...step in the moderators.
I think you will find an influx of people to Mike website and I won't be surprised if another website or two pops up to start off where the origonal NZjetboating site started. Weekend jetboaters boating whenever they like, sharing tech, a beer, laugh, without all of the PC crap.... and we can still belong to JBNZ.
Just my view..
Well said chicken legs    I think you will find a lot more fun to be had on this site ,a lot more not so PC stuff will be aloud 8) 8)
I have followed this with some interest, I agree that the site has gone down hill and some of the moderators are over zealous to say the least. It looks like there has been a big increase is self appointed experts with very little experience on nzjetboating, Its a shame as it used to be a good site. It is also a little concerning that as a paid up member of jetboating NZ I like others cannot get answers from national and the whole deal seems to have been done behind closed doors by just a few to line the pockets of just a few,
Thats my 2 cents worth anyway
Boter
There has always been some know it all NOBS on that site ,that you give a little info too and they think they are the bees knees all of jetboating .In saying that there is still a lot of experienced boaters who do have a wealth of knowledge and who are only too happy to share it with others .I personal see nothing wrong with the sale of it ,if the owner has had enough and can make a buck than good on them .In the end it will be better for boaters to be able to use one common site .
P.S If you disagree with me ,i will ban you
Agreeded But it seems to have gotten worse with time, There is some great advice and history on the site but I think its heading down hill and is not the best decision for Jetboating NZ to get involved with, but it seems none of us will get a say anyway. If it was run correctly with independent moderators then it may be a different story and its not good when the exec stop answering emails on this issue. I would hope this site will allow the topic to continue so we can all have a say, which you cannot do on the other site any more
I will not remove the topic as long as its all constructive...and dont worry if stoney banns you ill ban him
Then i'll ban you ,and Dennis of course as it was his fault to start with .
Damn Dennis... Where is the plastic Maori these days ??
Slightly off topic but I was talking to the guy that bought his old boat the other day,...says its still going strong
Has anyone managed to get answers from the powers that be ??? Emails on this topic seem to have been over looked,
