There are some major reasons why we prefer Southern jet. We have found that the Southern Jet intake size and shape out performs anything else on the market (especially when you get up in HP).
The cuttlas sleeves outlast the opposition hands down (we make decent sleeves for opposition jets, but there is no need for Southern Jets), I will post pics to show you what I mean
You get Cast Stainless impellers as std
The Trim nozzles are in my opinion the best on the market with the better castings and bearings with tighter clearances.
Over all I believe these are the best value jet on the market, I back that up with some very happy fellow boaters for whom we have fitted these jets.
I believe we were the first to fit an 8 1/4 two stage with the Lexus which was a huge success (done it a few times now_)
The other great thing is the hassle free backup service with allot of gear available off the shelf.
I can honestly say I wish I Had been dealing with them allot sooner.
These are genuine reasons why I am happy with their jets

You can see us for info on these jets, we have now also run our 550hp motor on the 8.5" southern jet and the performance is streets ahead of the other 8.5" two stage jets we have run with these motors. Unlike the others the southern jet hooks up much better in a turn and off the mark. The reason that I can say this is because we have tested with two identical boats with similar motors but different jets. Boat 1 has 525hp LS and SDM 8.5 two stage while boat 2 has 550hp LS and Southern jet 8.5. The 550 with Southern jet performs better all round in particular with much less slip in turns even though it has more hp and torque.
The test was done fairly with both jets in good condition.
