Here is a boat that we supplied hull/jet/seats and some bits and pieces as well as tuning the computer.

It is a short little boat but we kept the Chine width wide to make it a super load carrier, The owner is a professional hunter and needs a small boat with good load carrying ability.
The jet is the Southern jet 8.25" two stage with trim nozzle, motor is the ever reliable Toyota Lexus V8 with our manifolds.
I finished the tune today and managed 85km up stream and 92 down with myself and a full tank of gas. Awesome handling with ultra soft ride and slow planing abilities with precise handling at speed.
The Lexus is the perfect match to the Southern jet 8.25 two stage and pulls 5200rpm WOT and cruses at 3200rpm ( clean slow plane is 2400rpm) giving good top end punch

Thanks, Yes they are lifting hooks. We were cruising up the river at 2800rpm so at that sort of rpm the lexus should return around 16 lph or better, A small block chev doing the same thing would be reasonably economical as long as it was tuned correctly (most are not). But a carb cannot compete with fuel injection when it comes to throttle response and fuel economy

The guy that came for a test drive made a common comment that we get with the lexus on the southern jet 8.25 two stage, which was that he couldn't believe how good the lexus is when matched correctly with the jet, he made the comment that other boats that he had been in with the lexus felt very ordinary and he didnt rate the lexus much........until now. This guy has owned and driven a number of boats
