    Something cool that we have been working in partnership with NZEFI Christchurch (check them out here http://www.nzefi.co.nz/)
    We have been working with NZEFI to help come up with a dyno system that can be used without removing the engine from the boat. Both NZEFI and ourselves wanted to come up with a system that was simple to connect to the dyno through the jet unit. After many discussions with Walter at NZEFI, we came up with a joint system that has now been tested and the first boat has been tuned on it. The great thing about this system is that it is easy to set up and can be adapted to any jet unit (or out board for that matter) including jet skis.
    As engines become more advanced with multiple adjustable cams/intakes etc. it is becoming harder to tune these motors correctly on the water, making dyno tuning much more important, and a lot more accurate. With this system it will be more affordable to do this.
    One major advantage with this system is that the engine is dynoed in its operating environment with marine manifolds (or whatever manifolds are fitted). Another big plus to this system is the cost as you don’t need to remove the engine from your boat and have it mounted on an engine dyno. This system is perfect for race and sprint boats, as it will handle up to 1000+ hp.
    If you do happen to have an engine that’s not in a boat then that’s covered as well with this system as there is a frame that bolts up allowing engines to be tuned by themselves with headers or marine exhausts just like a normal engine dyno.
    As previously said; we have been working with NZEFI for some time and their knowledge and expertise of anything performance related is second to none. We have worked with them on a number of tuning projects recently; including a Jag with an LS1 running the factory computer which I tuned on their dyno. The way this session was run for me was some of the best control of a dyno that I have seen which makes the tuning easy and very accurate.

    Its coming, I have been working on the engine alone side of the dyno which is about ready for the first engine which is a 6L LS which we will dyno before and after a cam, should have some pics tomorrow

    here are some pics of the engine frame under construction. this means that we can run and tune the motor with the manifolds etc that it would have in the boat, this one has headers as its out of a race boat but its just as easy to tune with marine manifolds. It is a multi fit frame that will except any engine. :big_smile:

    We test fitted the engine rig today and it all looks good, so we can go ahead and finish it ready for the 1st engine.

    No Not at all, it is set up for ANY boat including jet skis. we will make a drive unit for any jet unit.

    here is the engine side of it that is being dynoed on mon, I ran it up to temp on the jig to test before we connect it to the dyno and do a before and after cam/valve springs. We can run the same motor (or any motor) with marine manifolds as well :exciting:

    We ran the L98 through some power runs and we could have made a bit more through the low to mid range but we were only interested in the top end power :big_smile:

    Same motor with custom cam and valve springs

    520hp@6000rpm
    peak torque of 488ftlb @5300rpm (almost flat from 4400rpm)

    and an impressive 455ftlb of torque at 3500rpm and 400ftlb at 2800rpm
