Hey Mike ,Ive had a couple of little problems with my carb which i hope you may shed some light on, before xmas i put a full rebuild kit through the carb 600 holley spent some time on the taieri getting the float levels right and idle ,after a week into my holiday the carb was pissin out fuel cause both bowls were overflowing with the floats right at the top, mucked round resetting these but after this she just wouldn;t idle properly had to turn the idle up quite high to keep it running bout 1500 revs, also became harder to start ,is this common? im pretty handy with my hands but just coundn;t figure it out other than that she run well. Cheers Butch

    check the needle and seats
if they have shit stuck in them it will flood
put a new filter on it at the same time
the rear float level on these should be set slightly low too allow for the nose up attitude in a boat

Is seems strange that it was OK one minute then pumping in excess fuel......check that the fuel pump is not over pressurising it should be 4 to 7 psi.
