here is my little gem, very embarrassing as there were about 200 fishermen watching at the Rakaia Mouth. Long wait for the tide to come in .
This was from the Marathon the other week went across here @ 80mph after the steering jammed which required some assistance from above.
The good ole....."steering jammed" story
yep how many times have we herd that one
Good effort to get that far, doesn't look like too much blue stuff around.
This one was on the waiau its hard too see but there is a sheer drop behind the boat and about 1500mm to the water.luckily this happened as 100m around the corner was a line of flood protection railway lines and wire rope covered in willow trees with no way through. The landing was relatively smooth considering how suddenly it happened and I didnt even break any of ECANs new willows.
I'll show you Gay! Manbag boy
bring it on flyboy, hope it involves a jet boat!!

and it begins.....
stuck huh. try moving that wee boat full of water with only two people. super human strangth somehow suddenly came over us. plug out, carb off, turn engine over, reasemble and she's a runner.
Hard case, that's the beauty of a small boat I guess. How did it get submerged?
ahh well she got stuck just before the small water fall in the second pic caught the transom, when i dragged it down the boat dammed up the flow. not very much later the boat was full and going no further.
You need to be in to win
Less than a week left to get your pics in for this months comp. I'm sure a few of you boys got stuck over labour weekend.
Mmm Mr Polarkiwi any pic's of your monumental grounding on Friday????? Sounds like it was a goodie
Some cool pics people....the winner is ......NICK and the reason given was that it must have been embarrassing to have to wait for the tide, A close 2nd was Tony
